Your first productive bed, step by step. 4×8 raised bed or 2–3 containers.

One step at a time. Don't skip to step 5.

1

Pick one sunny spot — at least 6 hours of direct sun daily.

2

Choose ONE bed or 2–3 containers, not the whole yard.

3

4

Install simple drip irrigation or plan consistent hand watering.

5

Plant 5–8 easy crops from the bundle above.

6

Mulch heavily after planting.

7

Track what grows, what doesn't — that's your data.

8

If you need help, send one Request to a local provider or guide.

Starter Kit Resources

Your starter kit includes more than seeds. We'll suggest soil, compost, water, nursery, native plant, and local guide resources when they fit your pathway. Some resources are local vendors. Others are public guides, community partners, or educational references. VictoryGarden shows them only when they fit your pathway.

Some providers and certifications are still being verified. VictoryGarden highlights local resources as a starting point, not as a guarantee or endorsement.
